As part of the activities of the EU Integrated Rural Development Programme for Egypt (EU-ZIRA3A)<\/strong>, implemented by the Cairo Center for Development Benchmarking (CDB)<\/strong> with funding from the European Union<\/strong> and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS)<\/strong>, new IT equipment has been delivered to the Foreign Agricultural Relations (FAR)<\/strong> Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delivery aims to equip both the Monitoring & Evaluation Unit<\/strong> and the Archiving Unit<\/strong>, contributing to the modernization of project management and monitoring systems. This step represents a significant move toward strengthening the digital infrastructure within the Ministry\u2019s sectors, under the continuous support of the European Union. It reflects a shared belief that improved infrastructure is essential to enhancing overall performance, productivity, and efficiency within Egypt\u2019s agricultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The equipment provided includes state-of-the-art systems designed to facilitate the organization, storage, and management of agricultural data. These tools will enable the Ministry\u2019s staff to efficiently monitor projects, analyze results, and access updated information in support of better decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the delivery event, key representatives emphasized the importance of digital transformation for agricultural governance.
Eng. Nicola Di Mastro<\/strong>, EU-ZIRA3A Programme Manager, noted that the project works on both central and decentralized levels to promote good governance in the agricultural sector, highlighting the crucial role of private sector engagement in providing technical expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Islam El Fadly<\/strong>, Agriculture Programme Officer at EU-ZIRA3A, explained that the project supports the creation of a digital archiving system to organize and manage data related to rural development initiatives across Egypt\u2019s governorates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Ministry side, Dr. Saad Moussa<\/strong>, Executive Director of the Foreign Agricultural Relations Department, expressed appreciation to the European Union and AICS for their ongoing support to Egypt\u2019s agricultural development. He also praised CDB\u2019s effective role in providing technical support and coordination for the delivery process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Maha Ismail<\/strong>, Executive Director of CDB, highlighted that the center has supplied equipment with the highest technical specifications. She added that the initiative goes beyond delivery \u2014 CDB will also implement training programmes to build the capacity of FAR staff, ensuring they can efficiently manage digital systems and project workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This effort will enhance the Ministry\u2019s ability to handle agricultural data, improve transparency, and empower technical and administrative staff with modern tools.
